We have good news for those wishing to book a future stay in 2021!!

Booking a break away in these unprecedented times can be rather daunting, especially when you see in the media so many people losing money on the holidays they had booked. 

But, rest assured, at The World's 1st Self Catering Pub you can have real confidence when booking.

We have experienced many cancellations over the last few weeks/months due to Covid 19, which has impacted us and our family on many different levels, BUT, we felt it was extremely important that we made sure none of our booked guests were out of pocket. Guests were given either a full refund or the option to reschedule, no questions asked. 

Even those who had dates booked later in the year and expressed a disinclination to travel had their booking deposit transferred to new dates.

We truly believe that by treating our guests in the best way possible, especially NOW; at a time when we all need a bit more care and understanding, that they, and hopefully other guests will have confidence in booking a stay at Conroy's Old Bar in the future. 

In light of Covid 19 we have revised our T's & C's for 2020. (Please see below). 

Bookings made now for 2021 will be under our normal T's & C's. 

If however Ireland experiences a new wave of Covid 19 where lock down is reintroduced, we will contact all booked guests and revert back to our Covid 19 T's & C's.

Covid 19 Revised T's & C's 

for BOOKINGS in  2020

The health and safety of our guests and of our family is of paramount importance to us.

For us to be able to safely welcome guests back into what is first and foremost part of our home 

(albeit self contained) we have decided to reduce the number of days that Conroy's Old 

Bar will be available to rent. This is to enable us to safely facilitate a thorough sanitize and deep 

clean of all areas, indoor and outdoor, in between guest bookings.

Bookings for the remainder of 2020

Minimum 2 Adult 2 Night stay.

Our prices will remain the same.

A Non refundable Booking Fee of €50 is required to secure the dates required.

The Balance will be due no later than 7 days before arrival and will include the Damage Security Deposit.

Cancellations, for any reason, made up to 48hrs before arrival will be refunded in FULL  (less the €50 Booking Fee)

Cancellations made less than 48hrs  before arrival will be refunded in FULL  (less the €50 Booking Fee)  ONLY if we are able to re let the dates you booked.

The Damage Security Deposit will remain the same (€150).This will now be due at the same time the Balance is due - no later than 7 days before arrival.

If the Balance is not paid 7 days before arrival, your booking will be cancelled. You will be notified in writing (via email or text) and your dates will be re-advertised immediately.

T's & C's for BOOKINGS 2021

By Booking, guests automatically confirm they have 

READ, UNDERSTOOD & AGREE to the Terms & Conditions.

* Before making a payment, please read our Terms & Conditions listed below. 

* A €50 non refundable Booking Fee is required when making a booking.

* Check the calendar to see if your required dates are available. It's always a good idea to send us a quick email or text, (phone number at the bottom of page) to double check the availability of dates and also to notify us you are booking, especially if you are booking in one name and paying via Paypal in another name.  
Our calendar is updated on a daily basis when a booking is received, but as Conroy's Old Bar is also listed with other booking sites that have an instant book facility, it can sometimes mean there is a slight delay in the calendar updating.

* After reading out Terms & Conditions below, click on the "BUY NOW" button found at the very TOP and the very BOTTOM of this page and you will be taken to our Paypal page where you can make a secure Booking Fee payment of €50.

* Please make sure you make a note on the Paypal payment of the dates you require.

* A €150 Damage Security Deposit is required and will be due with the owing balance.

* The balance payment is due 4 weeks before your stay commences; you will be invoiced via Paypal. This invoice will include the €150 Damage Security Deposit. 

This must be paid in full.  Failure to pay within 7 days will result in your stay being cancelled with no refund.

Cash will NOT be accepted on arrival.

*The Damage Security Deposit will be refunded via Paypal within 7 days of departure in full if no damage has occurred and all T's & C's have been followed.

* Stays that are due to commence within 4 weeks must be paid for in FULL (including Damage Security Deposit) at time of booking. Please email us the dates you require and we will send you a Paypal invoice for the full amount in return.

*  We have an Any Start Day Policy, so that guests can avail of the cheap mid week flights.

* Available to book 365 days of the year.

*  We have no High or Low season rates.
Although some specific holiday dates are a premium price eg: St Patrick's Day, Easter,  Christmas and New Year. (Please enquire).

* A booking will always be confirmed by either email, text or phone, once a payment has been received.

* We have a 2 adult, 2 night MINIMUM. (Children 0-12yrs. Adult 12yrs+)

* Prices include fuel and electric **within reasonable use and FREE use of children's equipment. Linen and towels are provided. 

**Reasonable Use is based on the normal guest daily usage of electricity and fuel. Excess electricity used will be charged at the same rate per kWh as we are billed for by our suppliers, minus surcharges. 
Excess turf/fuel will be charged at €4 per bag.
We are lucky enough to have had very considerate guests, who turn off the lights etc when leaving for the day and when retiring in the evening. Also by using the fire according to the instructions available, ensures an efficient and toasty warm fire throughout their stay. 
As yet have never had to charge anyone for excessive use of fuel or electric.

* We require names of ALL guests when booking. 
Due to insurance restrictions NO unregistered guests are allowed IN or ON the property.

Over occupancy: We reserve the right to ask everyone to leave, your stay will be cancelled with no refund given.

As Conroy's is still 1st and foremost, part of our family home (albeit self contained), we like to make sure that all of the guests that we welcome into our home are compatible 

                                               with the style of accommodation we provide.

No parties or events.

Check in is anytime after 4pm.

Check Out time is 10am.

NO DRUGS in or on the property.

NO SMOKING/VAPING, inside Conroy's Old Bar - there is an exterior covered smoking area to the rear of the pub.

Conroy's Old Bar accommodates and is insured for a MAX of 4 people plus cot IN & ON the property.

Strictly NO extra/unauthorised guests allowed IN or ON the property - Only guests registered at time of booking are permitted.
If extra/unregistered guests are found to be in/on the property, we reserve the right to ask everyone to leave, your stay will be cancelled with no refund given.

Due to insurance restrictions and the fact that Conroy's Old Bar is part of "our home" (albeit self contained), it is STRICTLY NOT available for Stag or Hen, 18th, 21st or any type of parties.

As Conroy's Old Bar is 1st and foremost our home. 
It contains our belongings, some of which have sentimental memories attached to them. 

With this in mind, we expect ALL guests to treat Conroy's Old Bar with the respect it deserves and 


We choose NOT to charge a cleaning fee, as we would like to keep our price affordable. 

With that said, we do expect ALL guests to clean up after themselves - 

LEAVE IT AS YOU FIND IT, means just that!

We do NOT expect guests to strip the beds, hoover up, mop, dust, or scrub the bathrooms or toilets.....after all, you are on holiday.


Clean up after themselves, just as you would if you were visiting your Grandparents.

Take out ALL of your rubbish/trash/recycling.
Wash, dry AND put away any pots, pans, glasses and utensils used.
Wipe down cooker AND work surfaces.
Clean out fire/BBQ, if used.
Put used T-towels, bath/hand towels in the laundry basket provided.
Put back the games with their relevant pieces, in the correct boxes.
Not move the furniture around or at least put it back where it should be, if you do.

Guests who choose NOT to do the above, will have a cleaning fee of €15 per hour deducted from their security deposit.

Current Cancellation Policy for 2021.

  • This is the current Cancellation Policy for bookings taken in 2021. This policy may be subject to change if/when Covid19 Government Restrictions change.
  • Our Cancellation Policy is Strict: 50% refund (less Booking Fee) up until 1 week (7 days) prior to arrival.                                        
  • A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest confirms the cancellation by email.  
  • For a 50% refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made seven full days prior to our local check in time of 4pm on the day of check in, otherwise no refund will be issued.                         For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel by Friday of the previous week before check in time.                                
  • If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance, the nights not spent are NOT refunded.                                  
  • When a group reservation is made for more than 2 people (eg: 4 adults), our cancellation policy applies to each person in that group individually.                                                                                                                   Eg: If one person in the group cancels,  to receive a 50% refund of their accommodation fees, cancellation must be made seven full days prior to our local check in time of 4pm on the day of check in, otherwise no refund will be issued.          
  • The balance owing and the Damage Security Deposits MUST be paid IN FULL, BEFORE your stay commences.  Cash will NOT be accepted on arrival.
  • 4 weeks before your stay commences you will be invoiced via Paypal for the balance owing PLUS the €150 Damage Security Deposit. 
  • These both must be paid in full. Failure to pay within 7 days of receipt of invoice will result in your stay being cancelled with no refund.

We strongly advised ALL guests to take out their own
 Travel Insurance, 
in case of cancellation.
